The Twist Series of fingerstock gaskets is uniquely designed not to extend beyond its free state when compressed and provides excellent EMI RFI shielding effectiveness in gaps as small as 0.010". With all the characteristics as the Twist Series of RFI EMI shielding gaskets, the "Enviro-shield" products provide added environmental protection against contamination, dust and moisture in addition to excellent EMI RFI shielding effectiveness.

These products contain an acrylic transfer adhesive on the mounting side of the part and PORON Microcellular Urethane on the other. To mount these parts, simply remove the paper liner from the transfer adhesive and press onto a smooth, clean, dry surface, as shown in Figure 1. In order to achieve maximum shielding effectiveness and environmental protection compress part in the direction shown in Figure 2. Once fully compressed, as shown in Figure 3, continuity between the mounting and mating surfaces will be achieved resulting in maximum attenuation and environmental seal from dust, moisture and contamination.
