This material is a copper base alloy with both high strength and high conductivity attributes. It provides excellent performance for shielding strips, contacts and connectors.
Chemical Composition (Weight Percent)
- Beryllium - 1.8-2.0%
- Aluminum - 0.20 max
- Silicon - 0.20 max
- Cobalt + Nickel - 0.20 max
- Cobalt + Nickel + Iron - 0.6 max
- Copper - Balance
Physical Properties
- Electrical Conductivity @ 68°F (20°C) - 15-19% IACS
- Modulus of Elasticity - 19 x 106 psi (131 GPa)
- Density - 0.302 lb./in3 (8.35 gm./cc)
